Cross County Vacation Packages

Staff were friendly. Late night pb&j was a great snack . Room was comfortable, Only thing we were disappointed in was the theater cancelled week of Elvises movies every night. Because of some other event going on. All three of us felt we missed out on movies we haven’t seen in years. It was advertised they would be playing them and we came to the theater and us and other people waited for them to open and finally a security guy came and told us it would not be playing. The Guest house needs to do better by posting info on the reader board, front check in desk. Big sign at theater to let guests know. We went to front desk to let them know people were still walking down to see it.

The apartment was clean and enough space to accommodate everyone. It was difficult to get in touch with the property especially on the weekends. We requested additional covers which we never received. There were only two rolls of toliet tissue in each bathroom and I was there for 4 nights/5 days. The beds could be more comfortable but overall it was a great stay.

I'm giving this 3 stars because of a mix of good and bad. The good: The apartment was nice, spacious and well furnished. The beds were comfortable and a good size. We couldn't hear the neighbors next to us or above us (although that could be because they weren't home). The parking garage was secure and we didn't have trouble finding a spot close to our room. The place was only a few minutes drive from downtown/Beale St. The bad: The dryer was broken and clearly had been for quite some time. Which was a shame because we were planning on doing laundry. Shouldn't be allowed to advertise washer/dryer when it's not functional. The toilet leaked when flushed. Luckily there was a second toilet in the unit. It's unknown if this one was ever fixed, as no one fixed it in the 2 days we were there. The one bedroom has a bright light right outside the window that stays on all night. The blinds do not adequately block out the light. If you like sleeping with a night light, you're in luck. The other bedroom has windows that block out zero noise. You will hear every car that drives by on the street, that is only a few feet away. If you like sleeping with white noise, you're in luck. The appliances are outdated. Not a big deal, but they are out of the 1990s. Overall, if you're looking for a place to stay near downtown with 2 beds and you're a deep sleeper, this place is nice. If you're planning on using the laundry and kitchen a lot, I'd look elsewhere.
